Textiles are materials made from fibers, thin threads, or filaments that are natural, synthetic, or a combination of both. The term "textile" includes various fiber-based materials, such as fibers, yarns, filaments, threads, and different fabric types. Textile fibers can be classified into natural (organic) fibers and man-made (synthetic, industrial) fibers, and there is an enormous variety of textile fiber types available. Textiles can be woven, knitted, felted, or bonded to create fabrics. The term "fabric" refers to a material made through weaving, knitting, spreading, felting, stitching, crocheting, or bonding that may be used in the production of further products, such as clothing and upholstery. Textiles are used in various products, including clothing, accessories, gloves, hats, blankets, furniture, carpets, and bedding.
