The capital of Nigeria is Abuja. It is the countrys administrative and political capital, located in the central part of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) . Abuja was chosen as Nigerias new capital due to its central location, easy accessibility, salubrious climate, and low population density, and it was the first planned city to be built in Nigeria. The city is home to various government-related offices, the presidential palace, the National Assembly, the Supreme Court, the National Arboretum, the National Christian Centre, the National Mosque, and Millennium Park, among other landmarks. Abuja is also known for its cooler climate and less humidity compared to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria. The city has an international airport and is well-connected to other cities through expressways.
