The FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) motto is "Toward New Horizons". This motto reflects the organizations mission to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. FCCLA offers resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families and address various youth concerns, such as parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation. The organization has over 235,000 student members in over 4,900 chapters across 46 states, the District of Columbia, the American Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
