India's second commissioned nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine is named INS Arighaat. It was officially commissioned on August 29, 2024, in Visakhapatnam, and is an upgraded version of the INS Arihant, the first submarine of its class. INS Arighaat is part of the Arihant-class submarines and features technological advancements, including the ability to carry up to 12 K-15 ballistic missiles or 4 longer-range K-4 missiles.
