The name of the peninsula where Portugal and Spain are located is the Iberian Peninsula. This peninsula is situated in southwestern Europe, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the southeast and east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the north, west, and southwest. It includes most of Spain and Portugal, as well as Andorra, Gibraltar, a small part of southern France, and the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. The Pyrenees mountain range separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe to the northeast.
