The Wimbledon Ballot is a lottery system that gives everyone an equal opportunity to secure tickets for The Championships. It was first launched in 1924 and is intended to be the fairest means of obtaining tickets for the event. The Ballot is always oversubscribed, and most of the seats for Centre Court, No.1 Court, No.2 Court, and No.3 Court are included in the Wimbledon Ticket Ballot. The Ballot is open to everyone, and there is no charge to enter it. All applications are entered into a draw, and seats are allocated randomly to successful applicants. It is not possible to request a specific day or court, and ticket allocations are limited to two tickets per successful applicant. The Ballot is a public registration process, and it is not possible to request a specific day or court. The next Wimbledon Ballot will take place for the 2024 Championships.
