Transferable Flight Credit is a type of credit that can be used to purchase a flight ticket for someone else. It is a credit from a downgrade in fare or canceled reservation with a Wanna Get Away Plus®, Anytime, and/or Business Select® fare. Transferable Flight Credits give more flexibility to the passengers. When a trip booked with an eligible fare needs to be canceled, the flight credit can be transferred to someone else who is a Rapid Rewards member. Both the original owner of the credit and the person receiving it must be Rapid Rewards members, and only one transfer is permitted. The transfer can only be done once. If the original booking was made through a Southwest Business channel, the transfer is limited to employees within the organization. The recipient of the transferable flight credit can use it to book a new flight, and they will pay any difference in fare. Southwest Airlines offers Transferable Flight Credits as one of the many benefits that come with each Southwest fare type.
