A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that is placed in a persons passport to show that they meet the requirements to enter Canada. It is also referred to as a visitor visa or entry visa. A TRV is usually issued for the same length of time as a persons study or work permit and allows them to travel to Canada, but it does not give them any status inside Canada.
