what is uber x share

UberX Share is a ride-sharing service offered by Uber that allows riders heading in the same direction to share a ride and save money. With UberX Share, riders can save up to 20% when matched with another rider along their route. The service is designed to add no more than 8 minutes to a riders trip on average. Riders can request only one seat with UberX Share, and if they're riding with a friend or a group of friends, they should consider requesting UberX or UberXL instead. UberX Share drivers receive an additional fare when they pick up a co-rider, and they can cancel the pickup and collect the cancellation fee if a rider is more than 2 minutes late. The service was introduced in 2022 as a revamped version of UberPool, which was removed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
