UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is a payment system in India that allows users to transfer money between bank accounts across a single window. A Virtual Payment Address (VPA) is a unique identifier that helps UPI to track a persons account. A VPA is a unique financial address that acts as an ID independent of your bank account and is used to make UPI payments in place of bank account details. A VPA can be anything ranging from your name, the first half of your email address, or even your mobile number. To create a VPA, you need to log in to your UPI payment application and click on the ‘UPI/Send Money To’ option. Regularly paying through UPI can help you earn discount vouchers, cashback, and other rewards. Some VPNs accept UPI payments, such as Fi (Federal Bank) .
