VSTAR Pokemon cards are a type of ultra-rare card in the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) that were introduced in February 2022 with the Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars expansion. They are evolution cards that evolve from Pokemon V cards and have unique VSTAR Powers, which are special attacks or abilities that can drastically alter the course of a battle. Each player can only use one VSTAR Power per game, and VSTAR cards have impressive HP, high-damage attacks, and lower cost when your opponent knocks your VSTAR card out.
In addition to VSTAR Pokemon cards, the Brilliant Stars booster packs also contain VSTAR markers, which are cards that serve as a way for Pokemon players to keep track of their game a little bit better. When a player uses a VSTAR Power, they can flip over the VSTAR marker to indicate that the power has been used. It is likely that players will automatically get a VSTAR marker when they pull a VSTAR Pokemon from their pack.
