The movie "Mamma Mia!" was primarily filmed on the island of Skopelos, Greece, with some scenes shot on the neighboring island of Skiathos. Skopelos is where most of the outdoor scenes were filmed, including the church wedding at Agios Ioannis in Castri, the beach at Kastani, and the view from the house at the area nisi Glisteri, Amarantos Agnondas, Milia, Skopelos, and other points. Skiathos was also used as a filming location, but to a lesser extent than Skopelos. Its worth noting that the sequel, "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again," was filmed in Croatia, not Greece.
