Ancient debris is a rare and valuable resource in Minecraft that is generally found exclusively in the Nether between Y-level 8 and Y-level 119. However, the most common location for ancient debris is on Y-level 14 in the Nether. On average, Y-level 15 also has a high concentration of ancient debris. Ancient debris generates in the form of veins of one to four blocks and is obtained when mined with a diamond pickaxe or better. The Fortune enchantment does not work on ancient debris, just like iron and gold ore. Players must turn ancient debris into netherite scraps, which they then turn into netherite ingots. The easiest way to find ancient debris is to use the bed method, which involves placing a bed four blocks away from the spawn level of ancient debris, using one block of cobblestone under the players feet to protect them from the blast, and interacting with the bed to make it blow up, keeping the player out of harm's way.
