Netherite is a material in Minecraft 1.20 that is stronger than diamonds. It was introduced in February 2020 with the 1.16 update. The best way to find Netherite is by mining at Y level 15 in the Nether realm. Ancient Debris, which can be smelted into Netherite scraps, can be found most commonly between Y levels 8 and 22, but it is most commonly found at Y levels 10-15. Strip mining at Y level 15 in the Nether realm will give players the best chance at finding a large amount of Ancient Debris fast. Before mining at this level, players should prepare themselves with ample fire resistance potions, fire protection on their armor parts, and good food items, as this level will mostly be located underneath lava lakes in the Nether realm, making mining extremely dangerous.
