TVET colleges offer a variety of courses for students who have completed their National Certificate: Vocational Level 4 (NCV). The courses offered depend on the college, but here are some examples:
- Electrical, mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering
- Art and design, business management, clothing production, educare, engineering studies, farming management, fertilizer manufacturing
- Finance, economics, accounting, hospitality, information technology, and computer science
- Primary agriculture, primary health, civil engineering and building construction, drawing office practice, electrical
- Levels 1 to 4 courses on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and some colleges offer Higher Certificates on Level 5
NCV Level 4 is equivalent to matric but puts more emphasis on technical skills, so holders can go straight to job marketing.
