Everclear is available at two main proofs:
- The highest and most well-known version of Everclear is bottled at 190 U.S. proof, which corresponds to 95% alcohol by volume (ABV).
- There is also a 151 proof version of Everclear, which is 75.5% alcohol by volume.
The 190-proof Everclear is an extremely high concentration of grain alcohol, nearly twice as strong as typical spirits, which are usually around 80 proof (40% ABV). This very high proof means Everclear is extremely potent, highly flammable, and should be handled and consumed with caution. It is often used in making homemade liqueurs, infusions, or as a cooking ingredient rather than consumed straight. So, in summary, Everclear is most commonly known and sold as 190 proof (95% ABV) grain alcohol, with a less concentrated 151 proof (75.5% ABV) version also available. The 190 proof version is the one most famously associated with the brand's extreme potency reputation.
