Dianne Feinstein was born to a Jewish father and a mother who was raised in the Russian Orthodox Church. She attended a Jewish religious school and later enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a prestigious private Catholic high school in San Francisco. Feinstein listed her religion as Judaism. She was the first female Jewish U.S. senator and a long-time member of the Democratic Party.
