To renew your Texas drivers license, you will need to bring the following documents to your local driver license office:
- Application for the renewal of a driver license or identification card
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship (if you have not previously provided proof) or updated evidence of lawful presence
- Proof of identity
- Proof of Social Security Number
- Verification of Enrollment and Attendance Form (VOE Form), high school diploma, GED, or recent report card and attendance record (if under age 18)
- Current driver’s license
- Payment of the renewal fee.
If you are renewing in person, you will also need to pass a vision test, have your photo taken, provide a thumbprint, and pay the renewal fee. Additionally, you may need to provide additional authentication if renewing online without the audit number from your current drivers license.
