When packing for a cruise, its important to consider what youll need for your time on the ship, as well as for any excursions you may take. Here are some items to consider including in your packing list:

  • Personal Items: Boarding documents, luggage tags, passport/birth certificate, copy of passport/birth certificate, handheld video games, tablet, playing cards, snorkel gear, water shoes.
  • Cabin: Magnetic hooks, sea-bands.
  • Ship and Excursions: Mix-and-match clothing, formal attire.
  • Miscellaneous: Camera, wine/champagne (a bottle or two is allowed), corkscrew, non-alcoholic drinks (if allowed by your cruise line), towel clips, wristwatch (set to the ship’s time when leaving for port), lanyard (for holding your room keycard), books/magazines, wrinkle-release spray, money belt.

Its also important to pack any necessary medications, pain relievers, vitamins, feminine hygiene products, birth control, and a basic, personalized first-aid kit. Additionally, consider packing a daypack and/or beach bag for port excursions, as well as a waterproof case for your cellphone and camera if you plan on participating in water sports.
