The United Auto Workers Union (UAW) has called for a strike at 38 plants in 20 states after negotiations stalled with General Motors (GM) and Stellantis. The strike began on September 15, 2023, with walkouts at GMs midsize truck and full-size van plant in Wentzville, Missouri, and Ford's Ranger midsize pickup and Bronco SUV plant in Wayne, Michigan. The 38 new sites that joined the strike on September 22, 2023, include GM and Stellantis locations. The UAW has not announced any new strike locations as of September 23, 2023.
