The San Diego Zoo has housed several pandas, including Bai Yun, Gao Gao, Xiao Liwu, Hua Mei, Mei Sheng, and Su Lin. The National Zoo in Washington, D.C., recently returned its pandas to China, leaving Zoo Atlanta as the only zoo in the U.S. with pandas after the departure of the pandas from the National Zoo. Therefore, as of now, the only zoos in the United States with pandas are the San Diego Zoo and Zoo Atlanta.
