The Constitutional Convention was held from May 25 to September 17, 1787. It took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Pennsylvania State House, which is now known as Independence Hall. The convention was originally called to revise the Articles of Confederation but ultimately led to the creation of the United States Constitution. George Washington presided over the convention as its president.
