The next blood moon visible in the UK will be on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The total lunar eclipse will be visible as the Moon rises around 7:30 pm BST already in total eclipse. The total eclipse phase will end around 7:52 pm BST, but the partial eclipse continues until about 8:56 pm BST, giving UK observers a chance to see the blood moon for roughly 22 to 27 minutes depending on their location, particularly in eastern parts of the country. The Moon will appear deep red as it is in the Earth's shadow during the total lunar eclipse. This is a rare event, with the last total lunar eclipse in the UK in 2022 and the next one not until August 2026.
