The Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls, died on March 9, 1997. He was killed in a drive-by shooting while leaving a Soul Train Awards afterparty in Los Angeles. He was 24 years old at the time of his death and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around 1:15 a.m. after being shot multiple times in his car at a red light.
