Generation Alpha started in 2010 and is generally considered to extend to 2024 or 2025. Some sources specify the starting year as 2013, but the most widely accepted definition is that Generation Alpha includes those born from 2010 onward, typically ending around 2024 or 2025. This generation is the first to be born entirely in the 21st century and the third millennium. The term "Generation Alpha" was coined by Australian social researcher Mark McCrindle around 2008. Members of Generation Alpha are mostly children of Millennials and are expected to be the largest generation ever when all are born by 2025.
