Roblox was officially released to the public on September 1, 2006. It was originally created in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel, initially under the name "Dynablocks" before being renamed to Roblox in 2005. The first playable beta version came out in 2005, and then the full platform was launched in 2006, allowing users to create avatars, explore worlds, and build games with basic Lua scripting.
