Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, at the age of 65. He passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California, due to complications from lung cancer. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer in early November 1966 and underwent surgery to remove a tumor in his left lung. Disney was pronounced dead at 9:35 a.m. on that day. His remains were cremated and interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
