when did wizkid start music

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, started his music career very young. He began singing and recording music at the age of 11, around 2001, as part of a group called the Glorious Five. He was initially known by the stage name Lil Prinz at that time. His professional music career took off in 2009 when he signed with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E), founded by Banky W. His breakthrough came in 2010 with the release of his hit single "Holla at Your Boy," which catapulted him to nationwide fame. He released his debut album, Superstar, in 2011.
