Cats start teething quite early, typically between 2 to 4 weeks of age when their baby teeth (also called deciduous or milk teeth) begin to erupt through the gums. Their initial baby teeth set is usually all in by 6 to 8 weeks old. The second teething phase, where these baby teeth fall out and are replaced by their permanent adult teeth, begins around 3 to 4 months of age and continues until about 6 to 7 months old, at which point they generally have a full set of adult teeth. So, the teething process starts around 2 to 4 weeks for baby teeth eruption and then around 3 to 4 months for adult teeth to start coming in and baby teeth to fall out.
