when do luke and lorelai get together

Luke and Lorelai first confess their feelings for each other during Season 4 of Gilmore Girls. However, they don't officially get together and start dating until Season 5, after a magical first date in episode 3 ("Written In The Stars"). Their relationship progresses through Season 5, including Lorelai eventually proposing to Luke. Though their relationship faces ups and downs throughout the series, their romantic relationship begins clearly in Season 5 and continues with significant development in later seasons, culminating in a happy ending in the final season and the Netflix revival "A Year in the Life" where they get married.
