The U.S. stock markets, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq, typically close at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) from Monday through Friday. They are closed on weekends. There are exceptions where the market may close early, such as on the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, when the market usually closes at 1:00 p.m. ET.
