Briar, the new champion in League of Legends, was officially released on September 13, 2023, with the launch of Patch 13.18. She entered the game as a diver jungler with abilities centered around blood magic and a unique "Blood Frenzy" mechanic. She had been available for testing on the PBE (Public Beta Environment) prior to this release to allow players to try and balance her gameplay.
