The latest video game in the football series, previously known as FIFA, has been rebranded as EA SPORTS FC. The newest installment, EA SPORTS FC 26, is scheduled for release on September 26, 2025, with early access starting on September 19, 2025, for Ultimate Edition owners. This game will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The renaming from FIFA to EA SPORTS FC occurred because EA ended its licensing agreement with FIFA after FIFA 23. FIFA 22, an earlier game, was released on October 1, 2021, but the latest related title to the old naming is FIFA 23 which released on September 27, 2022. There is currently no game officially named "FIFA 2" or a clear indication that it is planned, as the series has moved on to the EA SPORTS FC branding starting with FC 24 onward.
