when does mark sloan die

Mark Sloan dies in Grey's Anatomy in Season 9, Episode 2, titled "Remember the Time." He succumbs to injuries sustained in a plane crash that occurred at the end of Season 8. Although Mark initially survives the crash, he is placed on life support due to his extensive injuries and eventually dies when the machines are turned off following his will's directive after no signs of improvement were shown within 30 days. His death follows the death of Lexie Grey, with whom he shared a significant romantic relationship, and his death emotionally impacted the show and its characters deeply. The hospital is later renamed Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in honor of Mark and Lexie.
