when does riverfire start

Riverfire 2025 starts on Saturday, 6 September 2025. The event marks the opening night of the Brisbane Festival. Fireworks are scheduled to begin around 6:45 to 7:00 pm, with activities starting from 5:00 pm onwards. It is a spectacular night featuring pyrotechnics launched from bridges, barges, and rooftops along the Brisbane River, accompanied by other festivities across the city.
