Nico Robin officially joins the Straw Hat Pirates crew at the end of the Alabasta Arc in One Piece. This happens in Episode 130 of the anime titled "Beware Her Scent!" In this episode, after Luffy saves her life during the climax of the Alabasta story, Robin appears on the Going Merry ship and expresses her desire to join the crew because she no longer wants to live alone and has nowhere else to go. Although initially met with some skepticism by the crew, Luffy accepts her onto the ship, making her an official member from that point onward. Her joining the crew marks a significant change in her character, shifting from a lone survivor with a troubled past to a valued member of the Straw Hats who seeks friendship and acceptance. She becomes the crew's archaeologist with the unique ability to read ancient texts called Poneglyphs, contributing to their adventure and shared dreams.
