Dogs do not think everyone has stopped talking to them when they go deaf. They adapt well to hearing loss and continue to understand communication mainly through visual cues and body language. Dogs do not have the complex thought process to wonder if people have stopped talking; instead, they rely on seeing movements, gestures, and other senses to stay connected with their humans. Deaf dogs can even be easier to train using hand signals and often adjust naturally without feeling isolated or ignored. They do not experience deafness as a communication breakdown but simply adapt to their new way of perceiving the world.
