Snapchat began charging for Memories storage starting from late September 2025. Users get 5GB of Memories storage for free, but those exceeding this limit must subscribe to one of Snapchat's new paid Memories Storage Plans. The plans include 100GB for $1.99 per month, 250GB with the $3.99 monthly Snapchat+ subscription, or 5TB with the Snapchat Platinum plan at $15.99 per month. Users exceeding the free 5GB will also receive 12 months of temporary storage before content deletion or subscription is required. This change aims to cover increasing infrastructure costs and is mainly relevant for users with thousands of Snaps saved, as most users fall under the free 5GB limit.
