The Ryder Cup originally scheduled for 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was supposed to take place at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin from September 25-27, 2020, but was postponed to September 24-26, 2021. Subsequent Ryder Cups were then shifted to odd-numbered years, with the 2025 Ryder Cup scheduled from September 26-28, 2025. This 2025 event will be held at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. Thus, the 2020 Ryder Cup was effectively held in 2021 instead.
