Ed Gein was arrested on November 16, 1957, after police discovered evidence linking him to the murder of Bernice Worden and other ghastly crimes at his farmhouse in Plainfield, Wisconsin. During the search, authorities found Worden's decapitated body and numerous human remains and body parts in his home, which he had exhumed from graves and used for grotesque purposes. This arrest followed the disappearance of Worden and led to his subsequent confession of two murders and grave robbing.
