Oasis was formed in 1991 in Manchester, England. Initially, the band was called The Rain, consisting of Paul McGuigan, Tony McCarroll, Paul Arthurs, and Chris Hutton as the original lead vocalist. Liam Gallagher later replaced Hutton as the frontman and suggested the band's new name, Oasis. Noel Gallagher joined a few months later as the lead guitarist and main songwriter, completing the band's classic formation.
