SoFi Stadium was built over nearly four years, with construction starting in November 2016 and the stadium officially opening on September 8, 2020. The site was formerly the Hollywood Park Racetrack, which was demolished by 2016, allowing for stadium construction to begin. The stadium is the first football- specific stadium built in Los Angeles in nearly a century and is home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
