The New Testament was written broadly during the First Century, between approximately 50 and 100 CE. The earliest writings are the Pauline Epistles, with 1 Thessalonians likely written around 52 CE. The Gospels were composed at different times within this period: Mark was probably written between 66 and 70 CE, Matthew and Luke between 85 and 90 CE, and John between 90 and 110 CE. The Book of Revelation is usually dated around 95 CE. Overall, the New Testament books were written within a few decades after the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, primarily during the latter half of the 1st century CE.
