when was the treaty of gastein signed

The Treaty of Gastein, also called the Gastein Convention, was signed on August 14, 1865. It was an agreement between Austria and Prussia regarding the administration of the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein after their seizure from Denmark in the Second Schleswig War. According to the treaty, Prussia was to administer Schleswig, and Austria was to administer Holstein.
