The U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was built starting with a groundbreaking ceremony on December 3, 2013. The stadium was completed and officially opened on July 22, 2016. It was built on the former site of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and serves as the home venue for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL.
