The Arizona Cardinals were founded in 1898, originally as the Morgan Athletic Club in Chicago. They are the oldest continuous professional football team in the NFL, having joined the league in its founding year of 1920 and later moving to Phoenix in 1988, becoming the Arizona Cardinals in 1994.
