when will the rookie return

The Rookie will return for its seventh season on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10/9c. The seventh season will have 18 episodes airing mostly without hiatus weeks until the finale in May 2025. The eighth season, however, will not premiere until midseason in January 2026, following a pattern similar to the previous season's January start.
