Mack trucks are primarily made in the United States. Their main manufacturing and assembly plants are located in Macungie, Pennsylvania, where all Mack trucks built for the North American market begin their assembly. The company also produces powertrain components like engines and transmissions in Hagerstown, Maryland. Additionally, there is a plant in Salem, Virginia that contributes to production. Mack Trucks relocated their headquarters to Greensboro, North Carolina. Besides the U.S. facilities, Mack also has assembly operations in Australia for their trucks designed for Australian conditions and has announced plans for a new manufacturing plant in Mexico expected to open in 2026 to support growth in the U.S., Canadian, and Latin American markets.
