where are quokkas found

Quokkas are native to a small area in southwestern Australia. The largest wild population lives on Rottnest Island off Perth, and smaller populations are found on Bald Island near Albany and in scattered pockets of the mainland southwest forests, including areas around Two Peoples Bay, near Albany, and other forested reserves in the region. In total, their range remains restricted to southwestern Western Australia, with Rottnest Island hosting the majority of individuals.
