Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck by a single bullet while speaking at an outdoor event on the campus of Utah Valley University. The shot was fired from the roof of the Losee Center building, which was about 142 yards (130 meters) away from where Kirk was seated under a tent during the event. The bullet struck the left side of his neck, causing heavy bleeding, and he was pronounced dead after emergency surgery.
